Senior Analyst for the Gilbane Group’s Web Content Management Practice. Gilbane Group, a division of Outsell, Inc. A provider of analyst & consulting services focused on content technologies including; web content management (WCM), multilingual content, enterprise search, enterprise social media, publishing or ECM.
Provided strategic evaluation, analysis and recommendations to Fortune 500 clients, specifically evaluating CMS and DAM systems for a global software vendor with over $3B in revenue and a global CPG manufacturer with over $30B in revenues, that also included a review and recommendations of their direct to consumer e-commerce systems and strategy.
Worked with a number of digital experience solution vendors, including WCM and related technologies to provide go-to-market and product strategy advice as well as development of content marketing thought leadership material – enabling them to realize an improvement in leads and revenue.

Defined the Web Content Management product strategy across the Immediacy and Morello brands. Develop product marketing strategies and value propositions for our solutions.

Mediasurface was a leading web content management solution, used by large parts of the British Government, large clients like Thomson Reuters, WWE and AstraZeneca.
Joined Mediasurface as part of a turnaround under a new management team, initially working with pre-sales, before leading product marketing and then becoming CTO.

Worked with prospective clients in understanding their business processes and pains, developing bespoke product demonstrations and back office integration examples, giving product and technical presentations and preparing proposals.
Became a Technical Account Manager and led large scale client engagements as a trusted technology advisor.

Worked across the Manugistics business in both in the UK and during a 2 year spell in the US, providing technology leadership around their supply chain optimisation software, specifically focused on enterprise application integration (EAI), both with blue chip clients (including McDonalds and Sara Lee Bakeries) and internally, leading the development of a business intelligence product.

Took a vocational approach to my further education by serving an IT and management apprenticeship with the civil service.
Starting as a computer operator on various systems including fingerprint recognition, serious crime and anti-terrorist. Managed a team of operators and help desk. Provided support for a number of secure systems used by police and security agencies (required security vetting to the highest DV level), technical lead to new implementation projects, their planning and relationships with vendors.
Completed various management development programs, sponsored Open University degree study and AIX tech certification – also received a deputy commissioner commendation for the successful implementation of a Personnel and Training (HR) System.
